Australia travel restrictions related to COVID (updated 26 January 2023)

December to March

There are no restrictions for travelling to Australia, unless you travel from China, including Hong Kong or Macau. Vaccination is not required. A pre-travel test is required if you travel to Australia from China, including Hong Kong and Macau. You can find more information on entering Australia here.

Travellers to Australia also need to comply with requirements in the state or territory of their arrival, and any other state or territories that you plan to travel to. This includes quarantine and post-arrival testing requirements. Quarantine requirements in Australia are determined by State and Territory governments.
